The New Zealand Association of Scientists makes the following annual awards:

• the Research Medal,
• the Shorland Medal,
• the Marsden Medal,
• the Science Communicator Award,

to encourage public appreciation of scientific objectives, methods and achievements. Follow the links for more information on the intent and the recipients of these medals and awards.
